Dato’ Mohamed Iqbal has a PhD in Management from USA and is presently Group Executive Director of Farlim Group and Managing Director of Bandar Subang Sdn Bhd in Malaysia. He serves as Secretary-General of the ASEAN Business Forum and Secretary of Malaysia-Japan Economic Association and recently, the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia-Pacific has appointed him as a member of its Business Advisory Council. He has been extensively involved in youth work and was one of the founding members of the Federation of Islamic Student Societies (FOSIS) in the UK and received an honorary title in Malaysia for his service to the youth movement.
Co-Founder & CEO of the Asian Strategy & Leadership Institute (ASLI), Malaysia’s leading independent Think Tank and foremost Conference Organiser that brings together senior government, business and thought leaders in interactive, high-level discussions. He is also Joint Secretary-General of the Malaysia-China Business Council, the ASEAN Business Forum and the Corporate Malaysia Roundtable.
Dato’ Yeoh’s management career covers over 10 years’ experience in the financial sector where he was Principal Adviser of Southern Bank. He was also a Director of SB Venture Capital Corporation, SBB Capital Markets Sdn Bhd and SBB Asset Management Company.
He was appointed by the Prime Minister and Government of Malaysia to be Malaysia’s Representative (with Ambassadorial status) on the new ASEAN High Level Task Force set up by the ASEAN Heads of States and Governments which developed the ASEAN Connectivity Master Plan focusing on ICT, Education, Human Capital Development, Transport, Power and Energy, adopted at the 17th ASEAN Summit.
A sought after speaker, he has addressed international conferences and forums organised by the Asia Society New York, World Economic Forum, Confederation of Indian Industry, China Development Institute, Young Presidents Organization, Institute of Southeast Asian Studies Singapore, Michigan Business School, Wilton Park UK, the Monash Asia Institute Australia and the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN).
Dato’ Yeoh has written several books on Management, Leadership and Malaysian Politics such as Vision & Leadership, Management Strategies for Malaysian Companies, Globalization and the New South and the Malaysian Chinese.
Dr. Husna Ahmad OBE, Secretary General – Europe
CEO of the Faith Regen Foundation. Dr Ahmad was awarded an OBE for her work promoting social justice.
With a PhD in Environmental Law from the School of Oriental and African Studies at London University, Dr. Ahmad is the co-chair of Faiths and Beliefs in Further Education, a national independent inter-faith charity working with the learning and skills sector, faith and local communities and national and local faith/belief based groups. She is also on the Women’s Committee of the MCEC Palmers Green Mosque. She is on the steering committee on a Higher Education religious literacy group under the auspices of Goldsmiths University and the University of York. She is a national and international speaker on faith and regeneration, peace building, women’s issues and climate change. Most recently, she has spoken at the Norwegian Parliament on Faith and Positive Change at a Peace Conference and at a conference in London on the day of Global Action on Military Expenditure on Warfare or Welfare.
